ျပီးခဲ့တဲ့လက ျမန္မာျပည္ျပန္ေတာ့ ေလဆိပ္ကအိမ္သာ၀င္ျပီး မွန္ၾကည့္ရင္း မိန္းမပီပီ စပ္စုခဲ့လုိက္ေသးတယ္။ ေလဆိပ္အိမ္သာမွာသန္႔ရွင္းေရးလုပ္ေနတဲ့ သန္႔ရွင္းေရး၀န္ထမ္းေကာင္မေလးကို “တစ္လဘယ္ေလာက္ရလဲ”ဆိုျပီး။ တစ္လကို ၈ေသာင္းရတယ္ဆိုပဲ။ တစ္ေန႔ကို ၃ေထာင္နီးပါးေလာက္ေပါ့။ မဆိုးဘူးပဲ။ မနားမေန၄ရက္ နားရတယ္။ မနားပဲအလုပ္ဆင္းျပီး ပိုက္ဆံရွာခြင့္မေပးဘူး။ ၄ရက္ထက္ ပိုပ်က္ရင္ ပ်က္တဲ့ရက္အေပၚမူတည္ျပီး လစာကိုျဖတ္တယ္။ တစ္ရက္မွမပ်က္ဘူးဆိုရင္ အိမ္သာသန္႔ရွင္းေရး၀န္ထမ္းဟာ တစ္လကို ၈ေသာင္းရတာ အေတာ္ကိုမဆိုးဘူးလို႔ ဆိုရမယ္။ ဒါကလည္း ေလဆိပ္၀န္ထမ္းမို႔လို႔ ထင္တာပဲ။

About 2 months ago, my friends from Myanmar said they would visit to Australia.
At that time, I was very busy ( in fact, lazy )
I cannot clean my house by myself alone.
Therefore,
my wife hired some part-time domestic helper ( Australian, White, ဘာမွမတတ္ )
1. ဘာမွမတတ္တဲ့ အိမ္အကူ (clean my 1 kitchen & 2 bath rooms) – 3 hrs = 200 A$
2. ဘာမွမတတ္တဲ့ ၿခံေၿမရွင္းသမား (cut my grass & maintain my garden) – 3 hrs = 200 A$
According to this real information / facts, ( I repeat, real facts )
( If I calculate by neglecting being a part-time labor, unemployed hours, etc ),
Then, their wage are
တနာရီ = 200 ÷ 3 = 66 A$
တရက္ ၈ နာရီ = 66 x 8 = 528 A$
တလ ( ရက္ ၂၀ ) = 528 x 20 = 10560 A$ x 1.05 (recent Ex rate) = 11088 US$
This is only for ဘာမွမတတ္တဲ့ (ဘာမွမတတ္တဲ့ uncertified ) အိမ္အကူ & ၿခံေၿမရွင္းသမား
Then, I may say,
“ ဒီဆာေဗးဟာနဲနဲေတာ. Australia ကိုေလ်ာ.တြက္ထားပံုရတယ္ဗ်ာ ”
I really don’t know much about this survey.

Another way of comparison is,

So 1 viss ( Paik Thar ) of chicken drum stick = 3.50 ÷ 0.60 = 5.83 A$
Australia average monthly salary = 3690 A$
So, every Australian can buy = 3690 ÷ 5.83 = 632.5 Viss of Chicken Drum stick every month.
Then you can imagine yourself,
How many viss ( Paik Thar ) of Chicken you can buy with your salary.

1. nobody dare to give bribe to government staff.
Because, government staff’s salary are very high.
Sometime, journalist pretend to give bribe (trap).
2. those Australian even hate too much to lie.
Let say, Australian community doesn’t accept liar.
3. very very rare to see or heard ( not even heard as rumor or gossip ).
During my 2 years stay in AU, I have never heard of bribery.

Perhaps, these kinds of surveys are not taking consideration about “income from informal sectors”.
